About FCS Agent

My name is Lara Savage Angel. I am the DeSoto County Family and Consumer Science Extension Agent for Mississippi State University Extension Service. Prior to coming to DeSoto County in September 2014 I worked for the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service as the Family and Consumer Science County Extension Agent in Monroe County, Kentucky from July 2009 to August 2014. From October 2006 to June 2009 I worked as a 4-H Youth Development County Extension Agent for UT Extension in Franklin County, Tennessee.  I am a graduate of Tennessee Technological University (2006) with a B.S. in Human Ecology emphasizing is Food Nutrition and Dietetics and Western Kentucky University (2012) with a M.A. in Adult Education.

On July 14, 2014 I married my husband, Clifton Angel, in a small private family ceremony in Kentucky. We reside in Tate County, Mississippi where he is the evangelist for the Coldwater church of Christ. We have a dog named Lucy and together we are making our home in Coldwater, MS.
